This is our first experience with bikes. We are a couple of Argentineans living in the Peruvian Amazonia for a year and a half. We are starting out trip from here, hopefully this January, crossing Peru, Bolivia and part of Brasil, dreaming with getting to Uruguay and Argentina afterwards.

Our first issue: find the equipment we need. Here in the Amazon we have no other option than to buy from abroad, pay shipping and around 30% in taxes.

What we need:

• front and back panniers (we are dreaming with the Ortlieb)
• kitchen wear
• Water filtration - we are thinking on the UV system, buy other options are welcome
• lights, mirrors, and any other practical stuff

Bikers: does anybody have some used equipment you would like to sell/donate? Can anybody recommend where to buy cheap and safe any of this stuff we are looking for?
