I'm already on the route - currently at Reedsport, OR, having started in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. I'll be going to the Panama Canal, maybe further. However, you can get lots of useful information by joining the Surly Group 'Panam Riders', where there are nearly 50 people either completed or still on the route - asking and giving information. Many of us have blogs where you can also get info about particular routes.

Go to Google > Search 'Panam Riders' > Click the join button and wait for a response from the administrator > Then you're on.

Hi,

A friend and I are leaving from Vancouver to Mexico City in early November (I'm thinking Nov. 5th). Maybe we'll catch up if you take the coast? Another friend is doing almost the exact same route as us but they leave in mid-October.

Im leaving Chicago Oct. 3rd 2010 and will make Seaside Or. in the beginning of Nov. I did the Pacific coast last year but headed east after reaching the Mexican Border. Would love to continue heading south but would only do so with companions. No hablo Espanol
