SF to NY May 2019

Hey ya'll

I am planning a west to east coast trip in May 2019. Planning on 6-8 weeks, flexible start location, and hitting the northern states. I am a 23 yr old woman living in Oakland CA. I am moving to Brooklyn and hoping to use the summer to relax a little before living in the big city. I have gone on two tours-- totaling the border of Canada to SF. I would like to camp and use Warmshowers, swim in most bodies of water and eat things wrapped in tortillas.

Interested in joining? Tell me a little about yourself!

Sounds fun

You will greatly enjoy that journey. Not sure how you will be able to live in NYC after a trip like that :)

Tips

Less is better, take just the essentials _ tent , sleeping bag, pad, tools, extra tube, food water...

Plan route- look at Google Street view along planned route, - to see what shoulder is like.

Find a companion, life is better experienced with another

Hi Cailin,

Hi Cailin,

I suppose I'm going the "wrong way" as I'm going from NYC to Alaska but since the weather has been so terrible, I am debating looping under Yellowstone and cutting up to Seattle in order to get into Canada. Perhaps we will run into each other if youre starting from SF.. whats your route?

Leaving June 2nd. Same trip. :)

Hi Cailin!

Don't know if you already left, but I am also going to go from SF to New York. I am set on leaving June 2nd and also looking for a companion to hit the northern route. I am a 20 year-old college student, writer, and filmmaker. Would love to get more in contact. Also, I am from Mexico, so will show you the proper way to eat tortillas.

Best of luck anyway!
